Anime: Binbougami ga! – Episode 11 Summary + Review

“Haven’t bathed in… many years…”

(Momiji ran out of shampoo once and never bothered to repurchase)

Studio: Sunrise

Genre: Surreal, Drama, Fantasy, Comedy, Age: 13+

Released: July 1 2012 – onwards

From the last episode, Momiji invites the god o decay to use Sakura’s bathtub, and now her entire bathroom is ruined. Sakira heads down to the local pubic baths, and coincidentally Keita’s entire family, Ranmaru, Bobby and Momou are also there. Surely they can bathe in peace?

This episode contains material not suitable for younger viewers!

Everyone is relaxing well initially, but curiosity gets the better of Momou and Bobby, and a battle of the sexes begins.

(Steam should do the trick)

Soon everyone is involved in naked action scenes and have peeked at everyone else. By the end of the episode, Keita is the only one with enough decency, but even he feels ruined.

(This was my reaction to the episode… FAIL)

The trio meet at school wearing disguises and can’t meet each others eyes.

(Hiding behind masks will never cover the shame)

Meanwhile, Momiji has had her first bath in years. She scrubs up nicely, and is now radiant enough to take on Sakura.

(The new ‘it’ girl, Momiji will now rule the world)

Overall, the only thing going through my mind was “nooo” and “whhyyy”. Okay, fair play to the producers that warned everyone that this was a fanservice episode, and yes, Binbougami has had plenty of fanservice with regards with Sakura before.

The boys are censored in a weird black-eraser-over-private-parts kind of way. However, I died a little inside, especially with Keita’s sisters. Everyone got knocked down a notch in my opinion.

People that enjoy crude fanservice episodes will be able to handle this. I didn’t think there were any redeeming qualities.

Rated – 0/5 Weird, crude, distasteful. You get a warning at the start.
