Felicita is, in fact, safe and sound with Luca, Debito and Pace. They’re heading to Luca’s secret herb garden that he hides from Jolly, because Jolly steals his herbs.

He warns Felicita to beware of Jolly, for more sinister reasons.

(Luca and co. are lost in a brightly lit cave. At least there are no monsters…)

When they get to the garden, Luca is super excited to get harvesting. His partiality to Felicita causes some delay, but eventually everyone gets to work.

(“What kind of herbs is Luca growing again…?”)

Using the white kitten that they rescued (episode 2), Nova and Liberta make their way through Luca’s cave. It’s filled with traps, and in the end, they resort to using each other’s swords because their hands aren’t free.

(Nova defends himself, while Liberta takes an arrow to the head.)

At the secret herb base, the group take a photo.

(Group photos, the old Italian way…)

Everyone gets a copy, which they are happy with. Debito seems to be thinking about something, and almost rips the photo… but in end keeps it.

(Debito’s twitter follows increased by thousands. #ItalianEyepatch)

Overall, there hasn’t been a single episode that even mentions a tournament, or even carries on the from the previous episode. Every week, it’s a bunch of lazy events that says something about each character.

For an action series, it’s surprisingly character-driven. Even then, it doesn’t stick with its own plot-points, abandoning them for picture taking and harvesting herbs…

Debito’s character was never that interesting until the end of this episode, where he gets less creepy. The next episode shows him doing some sort of crime.

Hopefully, the stuff about Jolly will be explained as well, though he’s part of Arcana Famiglia, so he might be a false baddie..

Rated – 1.5/5 Inconsistent pacing and topics for each episode.
