At the moment I’m working my way through Cardcaptor Sakura, which people may remember as Cardcaptors in the UK. The TV series came on during 2002 – 2004, I believe, and was part of my childhood. It was the third anime I saw on TV, and it was engrossing.

I later found out that the English dub had many modifications from the original version, and only now I’ve been able to go back and read the manga series. Usually, I find manga too easy to read. Yes, the pictures are nice, and the story can be gripping, but I happen to be a very fast reader and manga just doesn’t last long enough to feel satisfying. This, however, is a long series, and since it’s been completed for years, I don’t mind hurtling through the 12 volumes.
